Ooredoo, small letters big bite, Warning!!!

This is a warning to all mobile broadband users of Ooredoo.
I paid 1,000 ryials to learn this lesson and I hope more people will know about this and keep safe from Oooredoo.
So here's how the scam works:
Let's say you have a contract for 200 QR/month for 25GB.
You also get (although they don't tell you this when they smile as you sign the contract), 1,000 QR credit on top of that, in case you want to use more data than your allowance.
That means that if you use your 25 GB, you are "free" to use 10GB more for 1,000 QR !!!!!!! (when for 400QR you can have unlimited data allowance).
How do you know that you actually have used up all your allowance?
Here's the funny yet almost criminal part from Ooredoo.
You get an sms on your mobile when you have used up your credit (yes the 1,000 QR credit), but you never get informed about your usage of the main contract.
To find out if you still have data unused, you need to log into the IP address of your router, where they (Ooredoo) have sent you a message when you have reached 80% and 100& of your allowance).
This way they are covered legally, since they have "informed" you, and they continue to charge you with no consequences to them.
Last funny fact: you are not allowed NOT to have credit !!!
Corporate greed at its' best.
You have been warned fellow Dohians, beware...
Hmm, I believe it is a credit limit, and not credit. Basically means if you haven't paid your bill one month, you'll still be able to use your service because you haven't gone over the "credit limit". Going above gets me barred until I pay my bills.
That said, I always get 80% and 100% SMS on my main pack, not my credit. If I have the 10GB pack, I get an SMS when I'm at 8GB and another when I'm at 10GB, after which I could just top up using a data scratch card if I want, or just pay out of bundle charges of 0.1QR / mb. Plus, why don't you just reset the data counter on the device every month? It shows your data usage right below the network logo :)
No sms for usage...read the article carefully
I don't see anything unusual here.they are sending sms to warn the usage. If you happen to check it, no issues. You don't check, you learn the hard way!
Damned clever marketing... Someone must have got a bonus for this one..
