I use 2 ACER Laptops, 1 of them I was never switch it off for 4 (From 2005) years, running Win XP Professional, now no problem at all.

One more from 2007, ACER also, running Vista now, 3 years just on and on line, so far no problem also.

My desktop, HP Compac dc7700, also 3 years never off, one time the cooling fan was out of order. Other than that is OK.

3 of My friends using Toshiba Satelite, bought 2008, ON only 4-6 hours perday, Motherboard just screewed up and totally dead. (Just 1 month after the warranty expired..

So, I think, do not go for Toshiba.

Not shutting off a PC is stupid because many programs do not free allocated memory properly. In the course of time your available memory will shrink (it's called meory leaking in the literature). Your PC will become slower and slower. You should restart your PC after you ran a major (and possibly "dirty" program like Adobe or even Office).

my friend bought acer one at lulu for qr1198, this netbook have 3g slot for sim card.

plus normal 160gb hdd and 1gb ddr2ram..

very good price for 3g netbook, but thinking of the display which unpredictable when it can be totaly screwed up.. it only good for a year of warranty period.

All PCs have an exhaust system...if it gets clogged then the processor is going to fry the motherboard!

there is a problem with your laptop and desktop. Moreover you are simply wasting electricity and damaging the environment. Better to report you to Kahrama for wasting electricity

The size of your sample (6 people/PCs) is not sufficient to make a general prediction. Minimum required: 1.500 samples!
