hi iam been working in qatar from last 2 years .before 1 year i changed my company with noc and transfer letter now i completed 1 year in my new company. problem is i submitte my original education certificate to my new hr and unfortunately he lost them. those are original certificates issued from india .and whenever i ask to return them back the hr gives me some stupid reasons i want register a file against him. is there any law in qatar to solve this problem and make it easier . what will be the compensasion cost ?i know i have issue another certificates from my university and get it attested again. please suggest me some solution on this..thanking you god bless u all
Gift the guy with 1 kg coffee & 5 kgs sugar on 1st of Nov ............ tell him you lost so much due to his carelessness ........ count all the costs ..... let him die with the guilt ...................... you may say for ex. it wil cost you Riyals 3500 ........... and you have been robbed of 3500 Riyals ..........

It can be a honest mistake, move on and get a duplicate fro the university, i know it will be hassle to get it attested from HRD, MOFA etc again but it is not worth to create a dispute. Relax and work with HR to get duplicate as smoothly as possible.
You can explain the situation with your HR and check with them and if they can reimburse you, great. But if they can't, its small price to pay for your fortunate case to transfer on to your new job with NOC.

thanks zackm ....should i pay for the attestation cost and issuing a new certificate fees ? or i will claim to my company to pay ?
I doubt whether you can do much. You will only antagonise the HR and perhals cause future issues for yourself.
You should be able to get a duplicate from your university. It's a hassle, but something many of us have faced.
I recommend you to not make any issue out of it and just proceed to get another certificate from your university. Either ways you would need to do this. Better not make too much fuss and move on with everyone's lives.
