Move to qatar next week, have a couple of questions

Hi there,

I've accepted a job on 35k AED per month with accommodation in a hotel and transport provided. I've just got a couple of questions and I was hoping someone could help.

1. As far as packages go is this okay? I do get return flights etc and private medical insurance also.

2. I'm living in the west bay hotel area, how is it?

3. In terms of office wear I'm guessing suits are out of the question? What's the typical office wear for expats?

Thank you very much for reading and I look forward to hearing your advice.

I work in a project management department, so standard ofice wear. I'm guessing lght coloured light weight trousers? Thanks a lot for the advice guys. Appreciate some of it might be a bit silly!

Just one comment, I am sure your pay is in QAR and not in AED.

Westbay is a very good area and most expats want to live there. I am assuming your office will be in westbay as well so which makes this location more ideal for you.

West Bay is a "white horse" area of Doha and you may frequently meet people from your side of the world. Usually, people wear shirts and pants to work and wearing a suit is not that common. However, It all depends on the nature of your job.

The package is good.

Westbay is an upmarket area popular with expats and near to the beach and malls.

office wear depends on your role - is it customer facing ? If not, then a formal shirt and trousers will suffice
