It depends on the official designation that you are going to get on your Qatar resident permit.

For eg. for General Manager you require MBA but for Marketing manager you can't submit MBA but you have to submit BBA or B. Com.

As you say, it depends on the employer - so we can't really judge or offer proper advice.

If you want to play safe , get both attested - May save you the headache later

its little confusing one employer asks for mds and the other for bds , on asking them to clearify they fail to do so.

Why not ask your employer / HR as to which documents are required and which need to be attested ?

As per Indian Embassy document attestation as below..

Attestation - original document (only after attestation by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi Original document + copy.

Apply in consular services form with Passport / Qatar I.D. copy

Passport / Qatar I.D. original QR 38/

Also please note that the original Degree Certificate must attest by Qatar Embassy New Delhi. After that you go to Ministry of Foreign affairs Qatar. This is the only certificate accepted by the Ministry when your profession change or visa renewal for Accountant, Engineers, Doctors, etc;

Gentlemen, There are types of attestation. 1- to get a professional Visa like Engineer /Manager / Doctor etc. For this, your Educational Degree Certificate must be attested at HR Department & Qatar Embassy in India. Further it should be attested in Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar. Even for RP Renewal, Government is asking to produce the attested Degree Certificate of the employee at the time of submission to post office or at the Immigration for those having professional visas like Engineer, Manager or Doctor. Remember In the visa if the visa type is mentioned as "Professional" no need for certificate attestation. This is same as Technician / Clerical / administrative visa.. 2- Certificate attestation for getting a Family Visa in Qatar - For this, your marriage certificate is required to be attested at the Qatar Embassy in India and Children's birth certificate can be attested at the Indian Embassy in Qatar. Further these certificates are required to be attested at the ministry of foreign affairs in Qatar. hope, its clear. In Qatar, there is no consistent law / rules & regulations. everyday, it changes without prior notice. hence, the above requirement is as of today. tomorrow, it may be different. so be prepared accordingly.
