Mitsubishi Pajero: Expertise Needed

I am chasing the expertise of Pajero owners/pre-owners, as I am planning to buy one but somehow confused between getting the 3.5 or the 3.8 model. I am not into off-roading, but having test-driven the 3.5 model I found it quite sluggish on-road. I've never tested the 3.8 though. Is there a big difference between the two? Is getting the 3.8 worth the extra money?
Also, I'd appreciate if you share your overall experience with the dealer's after sale service
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

This has been really helpful.
I'll go for the 3.8 :) Thanks a lot for your feedback!
As for the new shape, I keep hearing rumors that they're releasing a new model in 2014 or so. Online auto forums didn't offer much help either, but I guess you're right.
As for the Prado, it's a great car but I believe Pajero 3.8 offers more value for money. I don't know about you guys :)
what about prado 2.7 which coast 1,30,000
Pajero is going to change its shape but 3.8 is better
If you opt for the 3 door, the 3.5 is okay else plonk in for the 3.8 if you like your drive. The 3.5 is also a four speed auto while the 3.8 is a 5 speed. In the long run, you 'll regret not going in for te bigger engine.
Thanks!
I think there are rumors going around that Pajero is going to change completely in 2014. Anyone heard of such rumors?
Get the 3.8, it's definitely worth the extra money...good luck
Thanks irf77 for your reply. The salesman at the showroom said that new models arriving to Doha are either 3.5 or 3.8, though 3.5 is selling better.
Hi Osama and thanks for your feedback. Actually now you can find 3.5 model in Mitsubishi's showroom
