i have used a mac since i was about 8, it was horrible... never had any programs for it, never could do anything with it, but i persevered because i never had any problems with them... never had a virus, never needed to defrag, or reinstall this or repartition that, as time passed macs became better and better, which brings us to today....macs are in right now, with the ipods and the iphones and the celebrities and the exposure apple finally began to appeal to a much wider audience, and companies were forced to adapt to that rise in demand by abandoning compatible with XP or VISTA only tag and replacing it with, Works os OS X and Vista tag.... now you have pretty much every game, program, accessory made to work on a mac, so if their was ever a time to go out and get your self a mac, its now.... their only pitfall is long gone,
but a word of advice, when apple released their macbook pro's, i got two, a 17 inch for home, and a 15 inch for university (at the time) and i got screwed on both, battery problems on the 15" and random restarts plagued it, and i had to replace it as soon as they released the intel core 2 duo came, because the problems kept coming, as for the 17", it has overheating issues which damaged the track pad, and then the random shut downs also came, so i had to replace it also....both now work perfectly, so my word of advice is, dont buy the first batch, wait for the update, thats what i am doing with the new mac book pro's....enjoy, and if u need anything pm me....
