Living with wife

I am a sri lankan, muslim (converted to Islam in 2005) who has moved to Qatar almost 2 months back as a Software Engineer, i came here alone on the advise of my friends who suggested that i do not bring my wife with me, who i married very recently!

I now feel that she should be here with me, i have heard mixed stories about the procedure to bring her here. I still am not aware of the exact documantations required and the procedure to follow. I would be very glad if someone could explain this to me.

I even tried to get a job for her here by applying through the numerous ads on gulf times, since she is working as a secretary in a big organisation in Sri lanka and has Secretarial experience of around 4 years, but I have been unsuccessful at this as well. I would also appreciate if anyone can forward me any opportunities that arise within their purview.

Kind Regards
Muhammad Saajidh

In every old Government organization it is the same. the bureaucracy, the red tape and the damn clerks take ages to send the files. I worked for some time as a summer replacement (three months) at a Government Department and there was this old ***** lady working. She made me life really miserable. In short I got my three months pay, four months after leaving the organization after I had lost all hope. These ladies just gossip all day, drink tea and talk on the cellphone and wear perfurmes that you can smell one mile away.

Even on the cornice you can smell the perfume miles away.

Who the hell puts on perfume when you are going for a walk or going for jogging?

true Mufy, i am a lil jealous of the other people, but more than that its the guilty feeling of leaving her behind!

And as u mention Gypsy, are u aware of the procedures to follow to get this tourist visa? or anyone else atleast???

Gypsy

She'll have no problem finding work once she gets here. Even if you could arrange for her to come in on a tourist visa first.

my wife and i came here 2 months ago.

getting your wife in should be easy, as they require less from her and from you.

i had to give my wife's passport and copy of marriage certificate. with that my office arranged the one month visitor visa and she came to qatar. once here she went for medical and finger printing and now we are waiting.

ask you office - it should be easy to arrange everything.
