Learning Arabic for an english speaker
Hey guys I just have one important question. Where should I learn arabic i'm going to be 16 when i graduate high school in California, and I need t learn arabic , but i cannot do so at Qatar university because i will not be 18. Where should i go? I'm not too sure about Fanar. I speak at about a 4th-5th grade level i would say not rlly sure. My reading and writing is mor 2nd-3rd grade. I'm just doing this for many reasons one important one being understanding the quran when i read it, because i dont understand it most of the time. Anyway i need suggestions.
Oh and completely unrelated any1 know good places to skate in Doha. oh and by skate i mean skateboard. Some good stairs and rails that i wont get in trouble for skating on

Good luck
I have been learning Arabic for the past year and I recommend you download podcasts from http://www.ArabicPod.net to compliment your learning. They're fun to listen to and in my opinion the best lessons on the internet. Good Luck, Arabic is well worth it!

First and for most, don't expect you will be able to understand Quran after you finish one of the courses offered to learn arabic. To learn and understand Quran, you have totaly different classes conducted by various organization and institues. Go visit Qatar Guest Center, Fanar or Quran Memorization Cetner opposit to Applo Hospital.
If you are intersted in learning spoken arabic, you can either join of the the institues mentioned about including Fanar or Qatar Guest Center or study through video tutorials on your own pace.
As far as skate borading is concerned, I don't think anyone will be willingly allow you to jump on their stair or railings, you have a small place in Bidda Park next to cornice dedicated for skate bording and I have also seen people playing in the park opposit to VIP Round about near airport.
Berlitz is good. I'm taking courses there. But arabic is very tough to learn. Good luck!
