KFC Chicken

In other countries, KFC Chicken are served with a special gravy. The taste is oh so yummy you can just sip it like a cup of tea. Honestly, that's what it tastes like. I don't know what's with that gravy that it is not allowed here in Qatar.

In Australia KFC is served with mashed potato topped with gravy. It's lovely to dip those finger thick chips in. Also, Spicy is only seasonal, making a rare appearance every once a year or so. The Original tastes much better than here coz the chicken (meat) is good. I can't stand the Original recipe here coz the meat smells. Ughhh! So, it's only Spicy for me in Doha. Can't stand the watery sweet Coleslaw either. :-)

Cheers,

At first, I also found the taste of KFC chicken totally different from that in Manila. After sometime, I got used to it.

They really don't serve gravy there, and even I don't know why. You'll also be surprised why Mc Donald's don't even offer (fried) chicken. If you want gravy, go to Marry Brown in Al Nasr near Family Food Center.

Oh my, this thread's making me hungry!

Maybe KFC adds their little secret to it.. that we don't know.

It's good though.. whatever is in it. I'm not interested in knowing what's in it at this point. LOL :)

If it's from chicken stock, then why they don't have it here in Doha? Some people might think that the sauce is coming from a pig's part.

It's somewhat like a "liver" sauce but it's not.. It's actually made out of chicken stock, thickened by a roux and add a few spices and you got yourself a gravy. :)

Mmmm good!!

Thailand and Indonesia too. They only have chili sauce.

BTW, a regular chicken in Thailand is already spicy. When you order the "spicy chicken" it is sooo spicy!
