Indian friends: Goa weather?

Hello

I was wondering what the weather is like in Goa in the beginning of May? Would it be bearable to go there on holiday or too hot/humid? Please let me know what the usual temperature and humidity is like in May.

Thx.

nice, but not-too-expensive hotels there??

I heard that there are many Russians there also...is that true?

kmommy, it is not anywhere close to August in Doha. It is hot and humid and if you spend the time on beaches it is simply great. Many people come down during this period and it gets crowded. I am sure you will enjoy it.

We have booked a holiday (with 2 young kids) for first week of May and now I am debating if we should go...like will the weather ruin our holiday? Will it be like August in Doha?

And I have googled it but would rather hear it from someone who lived there or has been in May....

it's hot and humid at that time of the year and crowded too... nonetheless, April and May are peak months in Goa for tourists too. You can catch a good tan on the beach if you wanna and taste some of the best mangoes India has to offer... I'd advise you plan a trip Dec-Jan if you hate hot and humid... or as Sandeep said, if you got beer to cool it off, go for it!

Will be humid.. Never bothered me though as I always have a kingfisher in my hand when I go there, makes weather very pleasant :)

March, April & May are the hottest months of the year. All schools are on holidays during mid April and May. Normal Taxis dont have a/cs and public transport is not advisable for a tourist. However you can have the best of the fruits including local varities mangoes and jackfruits.

Have a nice time if you decide to go.
