Hey, i was jus wondering, is it the only way i -phone gets connected to the net through wireless !!
not through the Qtel service? i thought it said 3rd generation!

no need to subscribe mobinet...download ipone config utility and enter the gprs port setting ... moste importantly the proxy address.
1)download ipone config utility
2)create a config profile using details as :
access point name: gprs.qtel
access point user name : gprs
password : gprs
proxy server and port : 10.23.8.3 : 8080
then install the profile to ur phone
but there are still charges apply depending on use.
You dont have to subscribe to post paid or mobinet.
Qtel uses a proxy server which is required to be entered. It ed to be a tricky excercebut thanks to apple'snew software it has a breeze now.
Download Iphone configuration utility from apple website and use it to configure prxy serveer. if you need further details then PM me.
To use Qtel services, you need to subscribe post paid service and then mobinet internet package.

they know it how to configure your setting.
iphone has both 3g and wi-fi...
