On 19th Sept , at 9.45 , in Lulu hyper market parking area,
I was taking out my car from parking, so suddenly one car passed that in back my back side, then the driver understood that I am taking out from parking suddenly he stop and put reverse to get this parking that time we had a accident , unfortunately my car’s bumper is damaged , and his car is in safe side, then he removed the car and parked another parking, then he asked me to fix it my self, and I called him to police station to get the police report, but he refused to come with me, he want the police will be the same location, but I told him that how can be it , coz u moved the car then we have to go there , he didn’t say any thing simply he went for shopping, so I noted his number and went Mathar Qadeem police station and reported to police officer ,he told me to visit on next day morning, I followed the same the that police was in there I met another one he asked to visit in the evening , I went evening then he said to come next day , finally I went there Sunday evening I met another police officer but he don’t know English ……………………then I came back ……………….

Now I don’t know what do with this ???????????
How can I report this incident ????????????

The another driver is not scared coz the car is from select Qatar company

Mandilulur,

I am lucky coz up to now no police officers are entered this information in their System, the main problem they are lazy to do their job properly ……….. other wise why they asked me to vist more than 4 times in the same police station, I will get police report in first time if I say that some one hit my car when I parked in LULU,

Now I learned a good lesson ………….

Once u trapped in accident don’t go to the police station for saving both police and our time, wait to the same location and let them come there ……………………

Firose, do I understand you that you are planning on going to a different police station and filing a different report about how your car was damaged? Please don't do that, dear. In the first place, it's not the truth and secondly, it's not wise to file a false police report. Although I'm not sure about the Qatar police computer system I suspect that they have a way to cross-check. I don't want to see you get yourself into more trouble!

Ok, just 2 weeks ago I had an accident near Manni Round About at around 8pm. While I was on the main road waiting for traffic to clear, the other guy took reverse and put a big scratch on my Prado.

First thing I did was to put the vechile in Harzard & breaks, get out and took photos from all possible directions including his number plate.

No other talk and no exchange of words, I straight went to Marror, did not speak a word, showed the officer the pictures. In return he gave me the mobile number of other driver, which I did not had so far. I called him to police station and the matters were settled in less than 15 minutes and it was judged as his fault.

As far as geting insurance, again its not all that complicated. I had to visit QIC, take the token wait for 10 minutes, show the report, 5 minutes of paper work and I was walking with the photographer outside the building to take pictures.

finally he gave me a police report back and asked me to visit Toyota service center and get it fixed... All in all it took 30 minutes in QIC

The wise person has long ears and a short tongue.

You know what will happen now?? The police will take all the details and will issue a report. You will be asked to pay QR.100 as a penalty/report charges. Then you will be asked to take ur car to the insurance co. and get it repaired by their authorized workshops or from some other workshops who provides better offer. The insurance company will make u walk in the hot sun searching for "best quotes". Its horrible.........

This is a normal course..... I don't think the "Hitter" will be charged or punished....

Good Luck

this is surely very unfortunate situation... you have now two options

1) waste your energy with police and then repair car

2) save your enrgy for some thing good and repair car

Persevere with reporting it to the police. That's all you can do. Don't let them fob you off.

You have to insist to the Police that you need to make a police report regarding that accident.Give them all the details, plate number, place, when and how it happened.Better bring a person who can talk and understand Arabic.

You can't force him to pay for the accident. That accident is your own responsibility now. your own mistake. He didn't care!!! So many drivers here are like him. RUDE, IRResponsible one!
