The reference made here is to the overall cost of ownership. A brake master cylinder is not something u replace every year. In fact, u might not need to replace it ever in the cars whole lifetime, unless you take the car to a dumb mechanic who while changing ur brake pads pushes the caliper fluid back into the master without doing a proper bleed (every stupid mechanic at teyseer and other big service centers make this mistake).
Cadillacs and Fords have cheap plastic interiors which start rattling and falling off in a couple of years, while Toyota land cruisers will probably outlast even you.
I've heard this for zillion times and I bet the people who promote do not own a 4x4 Toyota.
I have a LC and each single part of it cost some pretty bucks.
Just for example the brakes master costs 8000+ while for the fancy Cadillac Escelade that is tagged by its high maintenance cost the same part costs 3400 from the agency.
My advice is; enjoy your ride with the one you like more as anyways we will be ripped appart by maintenance cost
Well, i don't the booth cars. But as friendly advice and based on what I heard from a friends and others for:
Ford Explorer; you will enjoy its elegance design and
futuristic features, parts is quit high and re-sale value is low. and not much attractive when your post it in an adds:
Toyota Prado: not much high end and features compare to ford their interior design is very basic but when it comes to quality and durability its perfect with low maintenance cost and high re-sale value.
If you have enough budget go for Prado.
I havent got one but I do have a Ford and no matter how good the vehicle is, you will NOT be at all impressed everytime you have to take your pride and joy to Al Mana on Street 23 for its service or repair - rarely have I observed such chaos - genuine chaos at extortionate prices. Al Mana take "We genuinely dont have a clue how to run a workshop" to a new before un witnessed new level.............
