How Dissatisfied are you with Lulu Hyper
I hope I am just the one who is so frustrated with Lulu hypermarket and their flagrant disregard for service and arrogance. Bought a Microwave in August and it packed up in two months.
Took it back to Lulu Hyper and there was no replacement (not complaining about that) and I was assured the unit will be repaired and returned in 7 days ("we will call you within 7 days" is what was told). Phoned on the 7th day and someone in half english half Malalalam?? answers to tell me I must wait for three more days as he doesn't know the status!!!!. No apologies, and total disregard to the inconvenience I have to put up with. Oh, yes he hangs up on my face before I could ask if I could speak to someone who will give a more responsible reply than the one he could offer. Now at the end of 2nd week (they never bother to phone)when I made a call I am told that they are awaiting spare parts from dubai. On enquiring what is wrong with the unit, there is no answer from the other end.God know what spare parts they are awaiting without knowing the fault in the first place.
Dear expats, if you have any good experience on after sales service with Lulu, please let me know....(I will console myself saying I am just that unfortunate minority to whom everything goes wrong).
I am going to write to the top man/woman in Lulu (as if he/she cares)to let them know how pi**ed off I am. Hope to share the outcome with you lot.

This happens everywhere, I bought a laptop from Carrefour and the screen damaged. I took directly to the agent (HP) and it took more than a month to repair.
Here's an idea, when buying big ticket items, why not inquire as to their return policy before you give them a wallet full of cash? Funny thing is, we wouldnt hand over thousands of dollars for an item without being aware of our consumer rights.....

HAS NO SATISFACTION..
First i will share with you a horrible exeperience in LULU, i bought one laptop and next day i am in LULU as laptop is not working, i am insist them for a replacement but they said they will repair, OK NO RPOBLEM, they said that it will take 7 days, OK NO PROBLEM, after 7 days i went to LULU but again they give me time another 4 Days, OK NO PROBLEM, after 4 days i call and a guy told me, Sir, please call after 2 days as your laptop still not ready, OK NO PROBLEM, like around after 22 days, i went to LULU personaly and ask for my Laptop, a salesperson check in register and ask his fellow to bring laptop from store, i try to speak this salesperson that actually what happend with laptop but he want to talk with his friend,inshort, they bring laptop, try, its ok but the salesperson and one merchandiser talk very rudely, then i told them that i dont want a replace laptop, i want new one, they argue with me and when i told that i will complain this to your high authorities then the merchandiser said, "do whatever want to do and also tell my name" i went to his manager, he came, talk and in the end, i got same replaced laptop.
Second incident: i bought some items from LULU but my family not like, i went back to LULU and explain the story a gentelman in customer service, first he laugh and then he take all items and make a receipt and give to me....
Some times they are really good and sometimes really bad...but its happend everywhere but i like LULU hyper

Hey Why don't you head over to LULU Hyper with your receipt and speak to the guys at the customer service counter and I am pretty sure I have seen that guy speaks english. They are open till late night so why don't u try out that option. Hope it helps.

The Indian Style of serving is much better than this. This sought of serving is only from the directors family. Its only because of people like us Lulu is growing. If we boycott lulu, believe me they will do a better service to people. And the service people are not Indians, they are Filipinos male and female.
lulu hyper is lulu hyper, cant do anything about it. can only get "hypertension"...

Never bother to complain from their website... I never got back any response from them about the misbehaviour of one of their staff in the Customer Service Dept. when my daughter accidentally lost our car key inside the department store. i was only asking for their assistance to possibly announce in their paging system if somebody happened to found a key coz it's almost closing time and the lights were starting to be shut offed and besides my baby is starting to cry asking for his milk inside the car. What I received was a very rude answer that it's not allowed for anything lost to be announced.. Ok it's not alllowed..but why answer in such a rude way!
That's where the world comes to shop....!!!
Lulu hyper market is one of the worst shopping mall who do not have variety and selling bads things..
Lol, Novi I thought that was just me so I didnt say anything. I find a lot of the gals there rather silly as well. My little guy took a tumble (which he does about 100 times a day) and one of the cashiers started screaming like she was auditioning for a horror flick.
The makeup gal in Lulu Gharaffa is especially cheery. If you touch anything she goes behind you taking it out of the wrapper and inspecting it.

As said earlier as well, warrantees are from the manufacturer or from their authorized dealers, so its not really Lulu fault.
I have a good after sales expereince from Lulu
my complain about LULU , their cashier are very miserable looking.
I am also one satisfied customer. So in your case it might be the later one "I am just that unfortunate minority to whom everything goes wrong" type....:)

Never had a complaint about Lulu, love the place to be honest.
Also, the warranties on these items are generally from the manufacturer and from what I know Lulu doesn't really have much to do with it. Advice on items in Qatar.... you get what you pay for....
