High Beam Indicator not working - Technical inspection failed
Hi Friends,
Really expecting your help and support to share the details of good auto electrician that he can sort out my issue.
I have a corolla 2009 full automatic, which i had gone for the technical inspection last week. The car has passed the Legal requirements, but failed the technical inspection showing the High Beam Indicator in the dash bord is not working. They mentioned this as a major fault. I gone to many workshops and electricians to solve the problem, but they dont know how to do it. After watching related youtube videos, i managed to open the dash board and taken out the speedometer. Unfortunately, there is no LED that we can change easily. But, its an electronic circuit board with LEDs embedded on it.
The important thing is 1 month grace period of my istimara will expire within 1 week.
So guys pls share the details, if you know some good technicians.
Today afternoon I went to wakrah fahes for the re inspection and I passed the test.
Congratulations ....
This is great! And it proves that fixing your car yourself is cheaper and better than bringing it to any of the rubbish garages, including the dealers!
Congratulations ....
Hi Friends
i took my car to Salwa road Toyota Service Center. One of the technician checked the open speedometer. After inspection, he noticed me that the blue colored high beam indicator is working inside but not displaying on the meter. He told that there is some obstruction on the light that prevent to display the indicator blinking on the meter. Since they have no service for these parts in Salwa road center, he advised me to try my luck to find out the blocking object and solve the issue.
After a detailed inspection, i found that there are pieces of paper above the LED that prevents the light to reach the meter on the indicator.
I had removed those stuff and now its working fine (Alhamdu Lillah).
Thanks to ALLAH.
Thanks to all of you..
OP is looking for a cheep solution than Toyota Workshop ;)
oh for goodness sake .. Go to Toyota and ask them to diagnose the problem and give an estimate for repair...
Then drive down to Industrial area and pop into a few car electrical shops to see what they say
