RIP bubba.
tip #1 - hermit crabs are not for beginners.
JBH i'll give it to you after we are finish with it. i mean come on! do you have a child? what will you do if your child got big? a pet will be a member of the family you just don't abandon someone from your family if you got tired of them right?
ko thanks darryl will check out the place.
sorry Golden fish is located near the carpet center
Try a couple of love birds,
I think that will amaze him too
and very easy to take care of
Many happy returns of the dy for your child...
Math 4 All
Terrapins keep on growing and will reach the size of a large dinner plate.
By that time you and your child will have become tired of caring for it.
Then what?
DON'T buy a pet, you don't seem to have done much research and your child is far too young to appreciate the responsibility.
Buy a cuddly toy instead.
Call me Maninibat!
Beauty Fish is located near Muntaza Al-Meera complex and Beauty Fish in mansoora near Carpet Center. They both are quite famous aquaraium
Qtips - don't worry if ever i found one petstore who carries hermit crabs i will surely ask all the details on how to care for them properly. if you can give me tips i will surely welcome it.
Grant - yeah it's like giving your two year old a knife and say " here chew on this"
darryl - thank you, where is it located?
i would like my daddy to buy me ice cream too
Try Beauty Fish or Golden Fish they have hermit crab and different types of freshwater fish.
You can buy them at the petshop in Markhiya, halfway between TV & BurgerKing r/a's. They're actually called "terrapins".
But I'm still astounded by Zartoush' story. A 2 year had a pet python?
boggled, then you should start a thread something like "need tips on how to care for a ___".
hello guys ,, iam new here looking for friends ....
nidge - thanks for the info
qtips - hence, this thread to provide me info
damagum - had me laughing there! lol
try the corniche area near this bouth i shaw small crabs there get a bottle and grab one its free. many happy returns of the day.
boggled, do you have a saltwater aquarium with liverocks? do you have any idea on how to keep a hermit crab, what food they eat, or even their "house"?

zar, nice comment will think about this one for sure thanks! just wanted my son to experience having someone to take care of that's all
sorry.i myself had once a pair of those turtles and it was great to have them.i hope you will find a shop which has them.
good luck.
thanks swiss, any chance you know where i can get them? been checking out pet stores and all they have is birds, fish and dogs.
This is a request and not a unwanted advice.
I am a naturalist and i have opinion that keeping such animals/ reptiles/birds have not so good effect on health.
There are instances in US where a 2 year old developed
menengitis and died as he recieved infection from his pet pythons excreta.
Moreover we most of the time we fail to understand the requirements of the pets as they cant speak.
Hence mortality rate of all kinds of pets , exotic and non-exotic are very high.
Its very sad to see a pet dying which becomes a family member after few months of stay.
I have been through such mental agony once and wont advice/ promot keeping pets.
If your kid is interested in crabs or nature show his on TV, books, markets, websites, soft toys etc.
Getting educated in nature and developing sensitivity is more important than having an animal or whole of jungle at your place !
Finally i leave it to an individuals descrition as i am not the authority. Its a request.
or how about some of those turtles?
they are very small and i think also robust, but am not 100% sure.
anyway it is cool that you want to teach him responsibility in his early age.
:-D
hey swissgirl, that's why i wanted a hermit crab, it easy to take care of it and even if it is roughly handled it has it's shell to protect it, i dont like cat sorry when i was a kid a cat scratched the hell out of me. and it is not for fun i just want him to teach responsibility at an early age.
CAT IS BETTER BECAUSE PET IT S VERY DIFFICULT TO TAKE CARE OF IT INSIDE HOME AND OUT IS VERY HOT .
please dont buy any pet just for fun for your son.he is only 4 and dont knows how to take care of the pet.it would be your job to feed it and to take care of it.
but if you really want to have a pet at home then how about a cat for example?
TRY CRAB
