to jazzpirate,

at times H.M.C conducts recruiting campaigns in some countries. as far as i know a working nurse should be registered with National Health Authority (N.A.H), for which you have to pass examinations conducted by a licensing body.

It's better you submit your resume at the Human Resources Building located near Sports Roundabout and opposite Family Counseling Centre.

to nala,

allowances offered should be specified in offer letter and contract nor it won't be shown on Salary certificate.

GoodLuck and BestWishes Steveo,

if the offer letter suits you, then everything gonna ok, the work environment depends upon the department you work, colleagues and to an extend to whom you interact.

HMC is a good employer, packages are given according to grade of the assuming post.

for those who got family over here they provide family allowance.

hope you have a nice path ahead

Can anyone provide info regarding the various HMC pay grades and the benefit that each grade level qulifies for?

What allowances are standard, and what allowances can be negotiated. If an allowance is "standard" do I have to get them to spell it out in the offer letter? (Interested specifically in grades 109 and above)

Thanks Tigo, package is pretty good as senior manager level. With housing, business class flights etc. Do you work in the health sector?

Thanks

The recruitment process has already been long. I can well imagine the practice being behind the times and much work needing to be done. Do you work for HMC and doing what?

From a Kiwi perspective, HMC is a bad employer. If your work ethics and standards are high you will have difficulty coming to terms with the way HMC works. Ask yourself carefully what you want to acheive here. Qatar is not a too bad place to live but it does get difficult when the stress levels at work go through the roof. If you want to make change in the workplace, to drag it kicking into best practice, be prepared for roadblocks and no job security. Not trying to put you off, just want to make sure you come over with eyes open, not shut.

It depends on which grade they are offering you? Are they providing housing ?

HMC is a good employer but there are alot other private hospitals which offer better salaries.

Please note that the cost of living in Qatar is high so better do lots of research before joining HMC.

They are improving their services. I think they are making the largest medical city in the Middle East.
