Gratuity & Leave Salary Help

I have worked in a company for 8 months. I am aware that the law states that 1 year completion of service is necessary. However in my offer letter its very clearly shown that the gratuity amount is being cut from my salary.
Same is the case with leave salary. The amount is being clearly cut from my salary according to the offer letter.
However I hear from someone that if the amount is being cut from the salary and the employee has completed 3 months of service then the company has to pay the gratuity and leave salary for the number of months worked.
Also my company had a weird rule saying that the final settlement is paid only 45 days after the employee has left the company.
Now I am back in my home country and the date for the payment has passed.
What can I do? Kindly advise. Thanks
If this is true, the practice of your company is against Qatar Laws. Nobody can deduct gratuity or leave salary from employees salaries. This kind of things should be brought into attention of Labour department before you leave Qatar.
Thats true alexam, the company is really horrible.. They have still not paid the dues of people who left almost 10 months ago..
Forget about it. You're in your home country now. The chance of getting your dues is nil. Even if you're still here there's no assurance that if you complain to the Labor Dept. the decision will be in your favor. I don't think you will stay 8 months only if your former company is that good. Well, I don't know exactly your case but you know exactly what kind of company you have.
