Garage or Dealership - Car Accident

Someone hit my car (Volve XC 60 ; 2012 model), it was her mistake.
I have been asked by Traffic Police to visit the Insurance - Doha Takafful.
They have referred me to a Garage.
As this is not my mistake, can i ask them to refer me to the dealership?
What is the procedure, if they don't accept it.
Apprecaite for the advise.

Yes, I believe you can do that. However, in that case you may need to bear some part of the cost of repairs even if your car has comprehensive insurance. Possibly, you may have to bear 50% of the cost of spares that get replaced. Suggest you talk to the insurance company on this, and they will explain to you their terms or if their insurance company allows this facility. These terms I believe vary from company to company.
