Finding Good Classifieds Off the Interent

If one wants items that the older Qatari, non-English speaking population are selling, where do they go to advertise their items?  I checked out the classifieds of Al-Arab, Al-Watan, Al-Sharq, an Ar-Raya newspapers, and none are the great or detailed.  A lot are company advertisements.  Where do the pre-internet generation go?  Are newspapers the wrong place altogether? Any other suggestions?

I know it is strange question.  Thanks in advance for your help.
