Feeling bored

Hello! I am new here in doha with my kids for more than a month now. My husband brought us here to stay with him. Thinking of myself, i really wanted to go back home because i'm so super bored here, difficult public transport, i have to wait for my husband to go home first so we can go out or wait for his restdays. My kids have  no playmates here, so i feel like that we are more  like prisoners here.

My problem is when school year opens, i will be left alone and that would be a lot boring. I would like to busy myself not with household chores but with something that will improve myself. Do you know a school here which caters cooking lessons, or cosmetology? How about body fitness like aerobics or even belly dancing?

I wish you could give me some list and how much, pls! tnx in advance.

Doha is a lot better only if you knew where the fun are...

lets start with telephone calls... a lot of outdoor activities to see if you dont want to involve yourself doing such...

to see is beauty... a change that will dramatically wipes out boresome moments...

There are people working 60 hour weeks + here...

they would love some free time to get bored.

Imagination...use it!

I would love a clone or two to do things I don't have time for!

It has been 1 month+ I am here, i can't say i dislike it, I can't say i do, still too early, for sure though 1 thing i TOTTALY dislike is being alone, i am all alone and no one to havea coffee with, actualy i do have 2 friends which are at work most of the time,i am kinda reaching out to make new friends, and to be honest, i want to meet ladies, yes some might missunderstand and others might get my point, I wanna meet women and go out for a coffee, anything, HAVE FUN FOR GOD SAKES, is that bad? ... Hmm!!! wish u all have the best of it.

you should get a driver's number ... when you take a taxi ... ask the drivers mobile number. That way you always have someone's on standby when you need to go out.

if your kid/s at school ... you can come with me to the nxt ladies tuesday group coffee morning in Ramada. I normally put the details on the QL calendar when i got the e-mail from their committee.

i goes to Aspire class in the morning ... you are more than welcome to join us. Here is their website :

http://www.aspire.qa/topics/index.asp?level=31&temp_id=397&temp_type=42&parent=396

their class are very good .... non stop from morning till late evening every hours.

Ritz Carlton have cooking lesson now and again. And if you are really interested to learn cooking one of my thai girlfriend giving cooking lesson at her house. But she need a certain number of ppl to commence a class.

If you can get a hold of Marhaba book ... there is a section inside it with things to do around Doha.

Just in case i miss your thread, if you need to ask anything ... do drop me a PM ... i will do my best to help you to get to know people around Doha.

Another advice ... maybe you should consider yourself to get a car and driving license so you can get around Doha easier.
