Family visa,moi don't like to extend for 5-6 months.

Does anyone have experience like mine,my son is in family visit visa arrived on May 7, renew monthly and try to renew until 6 months on the first renew but told me only monthly. So it goes on untill yesterday I want to renew for another month (which will be his 5th month) but the captain told me go to Madinath Khalifa without explaining why? So I did go to Madinath Khalifa today, and they tolde there that I apply for 3 months only, which clearly o don't! As I know family visa is 6 months and extendable untill 8 if once approved. Now we are caught in sad situation because we are waiting for his work visa but still not come to MOI, and hes visa will expires tommorow. anybody have the same isues? I don't like him to go empty handed since he came here to find a work in the first place.

Please note that once a visa expires, a penalty of QR 200 per day will be imposed for each extra day of stay in Qatar after the visa expiry.
