I was able to check the "fake"50 rial with the bank yesterday, and it was NOT fake...what the hell!...Indian guys...tst tst tst really..

and so i spend this 50 rials at carrefour and it was ok.

But then again im still uncertain if there is,or few,or none, fake money here coz the qatar gov is like very careful with this things.

I think it is not fake money. It is because you gave him a very old 50 riyals which deos not have a silver band on it. All new Riyals have this silver band or some type of transparent part. This is why this guy returned your money I belive. It happened to one of my friend too.

its either as the others said ( might be damaged ) or he doesnt want to get you change for 50 qr , some grocery's can be lazy as hell .

confirm with your locl bank about it .

but i doubt its true .

it's quite normal for every country to have fake money so there's nothing new in this story...
