Hi. Im an expat married to qatari man. we married in my country last feb 2013. now im pregnant and my husband is registering our marriage certificate here in qatar. our marriage certificate is on the ministry and its under process.

my husband is old and im his second wife, if ever the goverment approved our marriage i can have my qatari citizenship after 5 yrs. but i just want to know what if my husband die within the five yrs, is there is possibilty that i can still be a qatari citizen and me and my baby can have a goverment support like the other local families? i just want to know so i will know what will i do, cause i thinking for the future of my baby. and my husbnd is old. i dont know where to go if he is gone. i cant go back y=to my country cause theres no good future there for my baby, i just want to know if he can get free school, allowance and if also i can get something.

i will appreciate ll your help!!

Well .. looks like you need your husband to be alive for 10 more years before you can get anything based on the reply from abdulaziz. Focus on ensuring he stays alive for the next 10 years or else all your effort would have gone to waste. Also in the meantime, ensure you get him to sign a will to ensure you get more money, you know just in case Dr Death comes calling before 10 years.

Why you are getting doubts if husband is going to die soon, when he was able to make you pregnent at this old age, he must be strong enough and let May God bless with more good health and make you again same situation after some time again.

Respect the Laws of the country , have faith in your Old husband and take care of him to be more healthy and live long
