Hi all

I am in business visa for job search. Visa has taken for one month from a Travel agency in India. I had extended this visa from MOI office Paid 200 QAR by myself. Currently I got an offer letter from another company. I want to exit from country & come back to Qatar. Currently the sponsor asking 500 QAR for exit permits. Sponsor told me if will not give this money they add me as an absconder. They are acting as exploiters.

I don’t have enough money to pay them.

Please advise me.

Pay and Exit....

If you dont have money ... borrow from some one...

500 riyal is not a big deal....

A stitch in time saves nine other stitches.....

Your voice against that person will cost you atleast 5000

Also take a look at this table of fees payable to the Ministry of Interior.

I'm not an expert on this, but this article might help you

My reasoning is that even if you exit without exit permit, you are not allowed to return until the contract period is over. In your case, there is no contract. Even if there is one, it is for a duration of 2 months and you are in the second month.

I think you should first talk to your travel agent who arranged for your visa. They should be able to talk to the sponsor. Second you should ask your new company PRO whether it is okay to leave without exit permit and come back on their visa.

Sponsor demanding 500 for exit permit is illegal and is blackmailing you with threatening to report as 'absconding'. I think your new company can advise you on this.
