I was under the same impression as most of you here are, that a person on a visit visa doesn't require an exit permit. But I came to know about this when my brother who came on visit last year was going back after staying here for around 4.5 months. He was asked by the immigration officials at HIA for an exit permit. It came as a total surprise for him and by that time I already had seen off him and reached my home. Then he immediately called me and I rushed to the airport and being a sponsor for him got the exit permit for him from MOI counter at HIA.
So, as I mentioned in my previous post as well, it depends upon the stay duration of the person visiting Qatar.
my in laws visited last year and left in December. I was the sponsor and went to the ministry of interior office in Wakra and paid QAR10 each to get an exit permit for both about 3/4 days before they exited the country. if an exit permit is not required then i would expect them to have told me this when i went there but they charged me QAR20 in total for the two exit permits (so no gender discrimination here). the in laws however did stay for just under 3 months. currently my mom is visiting me and i am not taking any chances and am planning to go to the same office and pay the QAR10 to get an exit visa for her a few days before she leaves.
For starters, there is no logic here. Secondly, if you're on a visit visa, you aren't required to have an exit permit. I've visited numerous times with my family before eventually moving here and we've never had any issues. We've even extended our visit visas and left without issue. Now, if you stay past the visa's validity, you will have to pay a fine. Even though the system shows it's been paid, always keep the receipt handy just in case.

It depends upon the stay duration of the person who came on a visit visa. If the person stays for more than 87 days (not very sure about the exact no of days), he/she will need an exit permit to go out of the country.

yes, for all Male visitors required if you leave the country after one month.
its not require,

what are the requirements to get the visa in France embassy?
not required
Yes for ladies no need and for male more than 18 year, the exit Permit is must by sponsor after 1 month.
There is no logic in this rule: it's the visiting ladies who normally create trouble.
That's gender discrimination!!
But for Ladies they are not required.
After 1 month stay you must required Exit Permit.
not required
If your Visit Visa is not yet extended from the date of Entry, you may leave at any time exit permit not required.
