hi to all:)
I have a question about the price of nannies from Europe per hour We arrived to Doha 2 weeks ago and we'd like to find somebody for taking care of our son for a few hours a day ( we dont want any Phillipin , or Indian girl to be the nanny) and we are wondering how many QR is the part- time nanny per hour ? ( i know that philippino nannies take 25 QR per hour ? right?
How much for European nannies ? Any suggestions?

Hi,

I'm a stay-at-home mum from The Netherlands. I have a 2 year old boy and will be happy to "baby sit" a few hours a day. So call me if you're interested on 6721416.

If you're son is small, I'd assure you that its preferable to have someone who is already a mother look after him! ... as there are some basic instinctive items on the agenda that will not be appreciated by someone who hasn't done the 'birth-thing' yet !! Go for a mum, whether she is an indian/philipina or other asian background. On the other hand, you might get lucky and get a part-time sitter from among some of the bored (not boring!) women on expatwoman.com (Doha does have its boring moments). They might be happy to babysit, providing the perks are good enough. There was a thread long time back, about sharing babysitting among families.

European nannies don't exist per se here... and if you want to bring one in, you'll have to make sure they are over the required age minimum (around 35). Salary will relate to their country of hiring too, which will no doubt be far more money than 'normal' rates over here.

If the grass is greener on the other side, its sure the water bill is higher !
