Domestic Waste Management

I have some bulky domestic waste including wooden & metal waste, some cartons, mattresses etc. Please advise how I can dispose it, Is it ok (legal) to keep this waste near the dustbin kept outside my residence or there are some separate services available for this type of domestic waste?
