Does anyone know who is the supplier for Exide battery presently?
I have been as QL member for several years but i have never posted at forum for seeking advice nor help. First time i am posting here coz i dont have any other choice left except asking our fellow QL members.
I wanna buy Exide battery for my Sedan Car. I have searched all over internet and contacted many dealers but seems like none of them have Exide battery and whoever supplied before, stopped dealing with exide battery now.
I would be grateful if anyone could help me out.
@acchabaccha I ended up buying Amaron 50Ah battery with 12 months warranty for 280 QAR from their dealer, as Exide which costs around 330 QAR with 18 months warranty is out of stock until the end of this month. Thanks for the reminder. I have got the warranty card as well and kept safely :)
haja12: Thanks a lot for your kind words and appreciation. There have been many of your likes who have posted similar views like yours about me either at QL or have sent me PMs. I thank them all.
As for the battery, just a piece of advice: whenever you buy one, do take the warranty card from the seller and keep it safe somewhere. To my knowledge, all battery manufactures give a 1-year warranty on their brand of batteries.
@acchabaccha I have almost decided to give up if i am not able to find the dealer even after posting in QL forum. But luckily Abdullah abdulghani do have exide batteries, as Daniel helped out. Probably it might be my luck with exide battery last time, however I wanna try this time to find the fact. So that i would not worry about finding a better battery in future, instead would go with the popular brand available in the market.
By the way acchabaccha, whenever I do any search in the forum for any support or queries, i dont remember a single post without your response. thanks a ton for your support to our community. :)
@daniel Thanks a mils. Gladly, they did pick my call in first ring and took my details to arrange call back from their salesman. :)
haja12: I have been changing car batteries on the fleet of cars I have maintained while working at a company here. Even the most popular brands such as Delco may last just up to two years. The average lifespan is usually around 1.5 years. You might have been a real lucky one with an Exide battery. Try your luck out this time if you get to find one. All the best!
You can check Abdullah Abdulghani, Industrial Area, Street 10, Gate 64. Phones: 40352439 and 31050503.
@arc736, Thanks for the info. I will passby there to check
@acchabaccha When i bought my car, it had pre-installed with Exide battery from the previous owner which lasted for almost 2.5 years. After that I have changed the battery twice, one lasted for year and another within one and half year. I do not know if its my luck with Exide or its really a long lasting battery.
Try the next Shop to Ali International Spare Parts - located on the right hand side of the road when you pass from Crazy Signal to Sana Signal, Doha.
Good Luck
Why do you need this particular brand when other brands easily available in the local market, would do an equally good job?
