Choosing a Laptop
Hi there,
I'm thinking of buying a laptop soon. My primary usage will be the internet, a few MS office applications sometimes, a few general applications and listening to Music.
Based on what I have researched, I feel the following config seems good enough.
Asus A42,
Intel I3-350M 2.26 Ghz,
4 GB DDR3 RAM,
500 GB HDD
14.1" Display,
1 GB Dedicated DDR3 VRam,
DVD Writer...
Win 7
And a 2 year Middle East Warranty
This is gonna cost me QR 2899, add to that a Kaspersky Internet Security CD for QR 79.
(Above quotation is from Jarir Bookstore)
So is this config good? or do you guys reckon theere's a better config / price I can get. If so, please enlighten me.
Also, How's Lulu compared to Jarir? Any other shop offering this config too?
Cheers! :)
thanks mann..
Hello Friend,
Then you have options like City Centere & Lulu. Go to all options compaire the price and decide....
Don't worry too much for this...
All the best
Thanks,,,
I am not a programmer, so I guess this is the best option for me.
I had gone to Jarir yesterday, and somehow was dissapointed in the customer attention. But hell, all that matters to me is the laptop and a place where there is good after sales service.
Any other known store?

The configurations which you mentioned seems good for your use.If you are a programmer or the work is related to pure IT then you need the more configuration.

@ Vikas: Why not from Lulu? Any particular reason why so?
Whatever you buy don't buy from Lulu. Also check Mac pro they are the best if you want to buy for a long time.
As long as what you buy is not HP product....you have my bless
Since you're going to buy my dream laptop..any ASUS series will be just fine for you..double bless from me
Thanks...
Would you be having any idea as to which store will be cheap?
Also, what add-ons to this system do I need to have? Any exclusions in the package I may have to know of while buying the laptop (for eg: some vendors offer a laptop without Windows)
Cheers!
Tt doesn't matter the brand name as long the features are good. Note: its the computer's processor that matters. You can choose in any stores' as long you can save a little bit.
