Chevy Trailblazer engine cut-out?
Any owners of recent generation Chevrolet Trailblazers had problems with the engine cutting out at idle for no apparent reason?
I've got a low mileage 2008 model that did just that to me while waiting at a major intersection yesterday. When I turned the key to restart, the engine wouldn't turn-over - as if the ignition system was disabled even though there was battery power. No warning lights on instrument panel.
With the assistance of a kind Qatari gentleman (thank you again Sir) I was able to push it off the road.
GM Roadside Assist were quick enough to respond and its now at by the local Service Centre but its definitely shaken my confidence in the vehicle. The prospect of this happening in a more remote location in these temperatures with my young kids is not a pleasant one.
If anyone has had a similar experience and knows why it occurs and what fixes it, please do share.
Wow!!...thats pretty scary!...my worst nightmare....in traffic and in the desert.
Read on QL about a brand new Chervolet Aveo that had some similar serious problems in its 2st or second week and the showroom refused to replace the car!!
