Car scratches & very small dent

9 months ago a car hit my car on passenger side with only small scratches and a tiny dent so we simply let it go after checking the cars. To avoid damage on my car body, I applied some touch up paint myself. Recently somebody saw it and he asked me if I have report it to the police. I said NO because the scratches and the dent were not much. Now I am worried about it for my next registration renewal and since it is quite old I don't know what to do. Please give me your suggestions. I feel I should report it to the police though I have touched up the scratches and the dent myself with paints.

Hey guys,

I showed/informed the police about my car scratch and I told them the truth...i.e. somebody hit my car on passenger side. I requested a paper for workshop and they immediately gave me the paper...it was so easy. Now I just have to take my car for paint touch up in any of the car workshop.

Hi asharaf, thank you for sharing your view and I really appreciated it. I feel these would help lot others like kunzui what to do when they have such doubts.

Thanks once again and best regards.

on dings, small dents and scratches, I don't thing there'd be any licenced cars on the road...

Going to any mall will assure you of at lease 5 dings and scratches from doors being opened onto your car or trolleys being pushed into it...

I have visible dents on my bonnet from some idiot standing on it while it was parked at our apartment building. Also a scratch that I have no idea of the origin of and my car passed its technical no problem.

if it's too little & not too much cathing eye

than no need to repair it.

just go to inspection

if they give a report of this dents, no problem

after passing the technical inspection, police will come to see your car physically.

if the dent it not too much he will ignore it and sign the paper.

but if he tell to repaint it than you need to go to morrur

& tell the police that i need to repair my car for istemara & show them your istemara paper

they will not ask you anything, i hope(because it was happended in my case)

and give you a paper.

then go to any denting garage & do the work.

that's it.

but in my experience they don't care about small denting.so you may be free from anxiety.

bye
