car cargo - bad experience
Good morning all I'm sending this post to all of you to take care from cargo companies and choose good company to post your stuff I had a bad experience with cargo company in qatar that i dont want anyone to try the same situation that i did The story begins when i was moving from qatar to kuwait last month I went to cargo company found it on yellowpages called "Al Refaey" located in salwa road near the next round about after qatar decoration I payed more than 4000 QR to them to transfer the car more than a month ago The car supposed to arrive after 3 days but it come here after 5 weeks The company used the car for driving 1800 KM as recorded on the car mileage counter and the car battery is died, can you beleive it? For a whole month i was calling them asking for my car and i always got answers like "it will be in kuwait by tomorrow" or "the car on kuwait borders" or "the transportation car has problem and stopped in KSA" finally i siscovered that my car didnt move from qatar till 4 days ago Plus the company didnt pay all liabilities like insurance which i payed already to them Finally i went to police station to ask for my right to persue them but i got the answer that this will take normally around 2 weeks and at that time you will pay for custom department for renting car area there and finally you will get nothing Finally please take care when you decide to use one of these companies and dont pay anything without a contract specifying a clear timeframe for transportation process and conditons specifing that company will pay for any damage that will happen to the car So, take care all and have a nice day
You should have approached some good freight forwarding companies like IFS or Gulf Agency for this instead of going such unknown cargo Companies who will not give you any time warranty for delivery. It should have been much better if the issue was handed over to any of your friends here in Qatar for follow up.
