can I open a bankaccount without living in Doha?

Hi all!
So I am going to work in doha, 1 week per month, make some money, but I dont want to take it back to Holland. Is it possible that I arrive there and open an account? or is that only possible with a special piece of paper?
As far as I know, you can open an account with only your passport and the employment contract signed by both you and your employer. However the bank will not issue the debit card or the cheque book until you provide a copy of your Resident Permit.
The best option is to keep the account you already have and do a money transfer from Qatar. You'll find lot of places who deals with money transfers. As long as you have your debit or credit card from your existing bank, you could do transactions ( but make sure you inform your bank at home that you are using your card outside of your home country. otherwise the bank will block the card and the account thinking some one has taken over your account).
You just need passport my friend
To my knowledge you would be needing a Resident Permit to open a bank account here and that would be possible if your company is issuing you a work visa.
