Can anyone keep my kittens?
I am leaving for a month in the summer and need to fing a place to keep three of my kittens. Qaws is too expensive for us, so if anyone is willing to keep three young kittens (born 15th May)for a month in the summer please email [email protected] for further information, dates and pictures. All food will be supplied.
By the way I forgot to say, I am leaving from 1st of July to the 10th of August.
At the momment their mother still feeds them but by the time I leave they will eat solid food. When I leave I will ask someone in our coumpound to take care of the mother. These are stray cats that have been tamed and are now cared for. All the cats are in the house.
These kittens are 2 weeks old and shouldn't be fed anything other then their mother's milk. Who is looking after the mother for the month? The kittens will need to stay with her if you are going on vacation within the next 6 weeks. Looking after such little kittens cannot be done by just anyone who says they'll take them. They must understand how delicate they are and their strict diets and feeding routines.
The kittens are not yet vaccinated. This must be done before when they are 8 weeks old, and until then, they cannot go into a house where there are other unvaccinated cats in case they get sick. They are also not suitable to go to anyone with young children unless the kittens are going to be kept well away from them so they don't get injured.
Asking if the kittens are of high-breed doesn't pose well for you ab2010. Why does it matter what breed they are - it's not like you can sell them.
Please make sure you ask lots of questions before handing your kittens and their mother over to anyone - there are too many people on the internet who will take them for a few days and then get bored of the responsibility and committment.
Is it of high-breed kittens or house kittens? I'm willing to take care of it :)
When will you be away? If I am here, I would love to do it.
Cheers,
Pam
I would rather leave them with someone and not in a cattery
QAWS doesn't have a boarding facility.
The boarding facility is a seperate entity and I am sure you will find that Paws and Claws is way cheaper than any of the other catteries in town!
