Am planning to get a battery for my Laptop through amazon.com. Since the battery is not available anywhere in Qatar, there is no other option than importing it.
Is it permissible to get laptop battery pack through aramex/dhl?
First, try with Amazon. They just may have a way of having the battery delivered here. Second, try with DHL. They may get it through their service but I am sure it will cost you. Third, try with some laptop dealers who import laptops and accessories from the US. They may get it in along with their incoming shipments.
By the way, several years back, I did import some batteries from Japan for an instrument being used at the plant. It was shipped through DHL and yes, the cost of shipment was exorbitant.
XP, Check with your colleagues and friends and neighbours , they will bring one for you who are coming back from their vacations ..... it is possible ...... it is easy ....
