Buying a car, have RP but not QID yet

Hello all,

I want to buy a car but my RP got renewed recently through my company HR, I got my passport back with the new RP but not my QID yet. Can I still got to the traffic department and get the car transferred in my name? I do have photocopies of my QID. I have heard delays at the ministry that issues QID so no idea when I'll get the QID.

Any advice appreciated.

Just pay Qar. 100 to the car dealer being his service charge, and he would arrange the transfer for you in two days based on your QID copy and copy of driving license. However buyer and seller both have to go there together.
