Bringing pets to Qatar

Hello all , I am considering a job offer in Doha but have two dogs whom I am thinking of bringing from Scotland with me. But I am wondering how life will be for two active Jack Russells- (they do not berk all-day though). I have read in a guide book that dogs are not allowed on beaches or parks and that they are only allowed on waste ground around building sites. As I will be working all day I am wondering if there are any dog walking services. Sounds crazy I know! Also what about shipping companies and costs/experiences? I have also read that some airlines allow dogs to travel as cargo on the same flight as the owner has anyone done this? Can any dog owners offer me any advice please! Thank you

i shipped my boy ( border collie ) over from scotland used a company called Air pets they are amazing but they are based at heathrow! it cost about 1k gbp to ship him over! Mu boy flew out on the same flight as me, he went as cargo! and i picked him up from the airport when i landed! Bless his socks! Use airpets they are amazing!

Walking dogs out here can be a pain, i let my baby off the lead but i walk him where i know i wont bump into people and if people are near i hold him. we go up to the beach every weekend with the dogs and let them off the lead and they love it! You do need to go to beaches were hardly anyone is there thou! Its not the best place for dogs out here at all, there isnt much space for them to be dogs, and people generally dont like dogs out here! Im at work all day and the boys have the house to themselves and the back yard, its safe enought out here for us to leave all our doors open when the boys are at home alone! I havent seen any dog wakling services out here, and i WOULDNT trust them, dog theft i believe is rife out here especially little dogs seems to be the fav!

You can walk pets pretty much anywhere but they wouldn't be welcome at the beach. Arabs aren't pet-friendly, in general.

The best pet walking service you can find is to advertise. I've seen South and South-East Asian househelp drafted into the role.
