BEWARE OF VILLA 77 IN MATAR QADEEM

HI!!! Would just like to share my bad experience when I rented a room in one of the villas in Matar Qadeem (Villa 77 in AL Hussein Bin Ali Street). First of, it is really not part of the villa, it's an out house (Though they will say in the AD that 2 bedroom part of a villa) . They have at least 10 agents who post their Ad here in Qatar Living (JAISHAD 55654858, SAFI 70646463 andSHAUFIK to name a few), you will notice that they place the location of the villa in their ad as near hotbread and we will take "COMMISSION".
They are putting 2ND hand/used ACs in the rooms (some of which were brought from Najma and some came from their other villas) as you occupy the room for the first two
months everything will be ok, as the month progresses this is where it gets interesting as the AC's compressors stars to give in, in this case the ACs are not operating as they used to be. Naturally you will contact your commissioning agent to report the problem, (it will take you at least 3 calls before they answer you and they will come after 6 hours or more), when they come they will tell you that it is not their responsibility as when you rented it, it was in good condition, then the argument will go on and they will not replace it unless you will suggest to them that they YOU WILL BEAR HALF OF THE EXPENSES THAT WILL BE INCURRED IN THE REPAIR (A COMPRESSOR COSTS AROUND 500 FOR WINDOW TYPE AND 1,000 FOR SPLIT TYPE). These AGENTS DON'T GIVE A S**T ABOUT YOU after they TAKE THEir COMMISSION, FOR THEM IT IS THE COMMISSION ONLY THEY ARE AFTER.
ALSO THESE AGENTS WILL PARK THEIR CAR INSIDE THE VILLAS AND CLEAN THEIR CARS USING THE WATER SUPPLY OF THE VILLA AND THEN CHARGE YOU WHEN THE WATER BILLS COMES. ALSO THE VILLA IS LIKE A FACTORY THAT WHENEVER THEY ARE REPAIRING SOMETHING THEY WILL USE ONLY SMALL ROOM OF THE BACK OF THE VILLA, THEY ARE USING VARNISH AND PAINTS AND YOU CAN SMELL INSIDE YOUR ROOM AND OF COURSE IT WILL BE BAD TO YOUR HEALTH. THEY ALSO USE THE VILLA AS A GARBAGE STOCKROOM AS THERE ARE LOTS OF GARBAGE INSIDE THE VILLA, REPORT THIS TO THE AGENT OR THE VILLA CARETAKER (SAFI) AND THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING AND INSTEAD THEY WILL TELL YOU, IF YOU DON'T WANT IT HERE, GO FIND SOME OTHER VILLA. THE ONE MONTH ADVANCE THAT YOU HAVE GIVEN, KISS IT GOODBYE AS THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU INSTEAD THEY WILL TELL YOU TO JUST USE IT ON YOUR LAST MONTH. IMMEDIATELY WHEN YOU TELL THEM THAT YOU ARE VACATING THE ROOM NEXT MONTH, THESE 10 OR MORE AGENTS ARE LIKE SHARKS IN THE
SEA SMELLING BLOOD, THEY SMELL MONEY AS THEY WILL PUT AN AD AGAIN IN QTRLIVING AND THE UNKNOWING VICTIM TO BE WILL AGAIN PAY HALF MONTH COMMISSION. ALSO THESE AGENTS WILL ENTERTAIN POTENTIAL NEW OCCUPANTS AS THEY WILL KNOCK ON YOUR DOOR WHENEVER THEY PLEASE AS THEY WITH NEW OCCUPANTS TO BE TO SEE THE ROOM (ACTUALLY IN THESE CASE YOU ARE STILL PAID FOR THE WHOLE MONTH SO IT IS STILL YOUR RIGHT TO REFUSE AND YOUR PRIVACY SHOULD BE reSPECTED, JUST IMAGINE, YOUR WIFE AND KIDS ARE ALREADY SLEEPING AND THEN THEY WILL KNOCK ON YOUR DOOR AS LATE
AS 11PM WITH THREE MEN JUST TO SEE THE ROOM, THEY WILL ENTER INSIDE AND LOOK AT THE ROOMS. SUCH AN uNPROFESSIONAL ACT FROM THESE A**HOLES.
JUST POSTED THIS TO SERVE AS A WARNING TO PEOPLE WHO WANTS TO RENT ON THIS VILLA. ITS NOT WORTH IT...
In my opinion if the Rent is Below 3500, almost all the houses in Doha are like the above pictures.
You cannot find a decent villa within the city limit for this price.
In wakrah you may find good house with the above price.
There wont be any maintenance, flooring will be worst, partitioned houses, worst window a/c, which will give trouble every 2 or 3 months.
