Yes, tell me about it irrysa! Whenever we go to a friends apartment in BHT for dinner or a party or something it's like you've walked straight back into your own apartment!
We've tried to make ours look a bit different by moving the furniture around and adding some personal touches - plants, pictures etc.
The layout does change depending where on the floor the apartment is - i.e. apartment 802 is a bit different to 801, 812 is different again etc. But they all have the same finishes and furniture. And apartment 801 is identical to 901, and 812 to 912 etc. And the view changes considerably depending on where you are on the floor.
I like living in Beverley Hills Tower. Agreed it is expensive, but I'm not sure about overrated. All accommodation in Doha is expensive, but you do get quite a lot for your money at BHT. I haven't seen anything better in Doha, but I would be interested to hear about better places.
Rock The Casbah is right though - only the Tower part of the name is correct (though I can't confirm if anyone called Beverly was involved with the project)!
Report the landlord to the rent commission, who are pretty good at what they do! Try writing a letter to the Landlord first and c.c. it to the Rent commission. That should make the landlord sit up and take notice.
If its anything like BH Gardens then avoid. Their maintainance is utterly appalling. The people who work there day to day really do try their best and are friendly, but everything was put together quickly just in time for the Asian Games. The result is pretty cr*p to be honest. We have huge cracks down our walls, air con that doesn't work or runs water constantly. We have tiles outside that wern't laid properly and came up in the beginning of the hot weather end of Feb that we are still asking to be fixed.
All of these have been raised by telephone and following no action by letter with again nothing happening. It has become a running joke and all people in the compound are having similar problems. We have had 4 maintainance supervisors in 6 months and no relent in sight for them.
Er, sorry, just realised I was on a little rant there.... I know that this is pretty usual for the Middle East but the apathy drives me mad!

You can't see any hills from the view.
Nobody called beverly was involved with the project.

Beverly Hills Tower and BH Gardens is a different place.
