Arabic translation
Will someone please help me? I need some English names and phrases translated into Arabic for me.
Also, a while ago, someone posted a feed about having jewellery made with Arabic names. I have searched and cannot find it. It was recommend that there was a place in the Souq that would do it. Can you please tell me which Jewellery shop? I am going home and thought it would make a lovely gift.
Thank you!!

I've just been to the NHA to submit the forms required to get a birth certificate, and the lady there had to transliterate our names from English to Arabic, so obviously it can be done. She was very specific about ensuring she got the pronunciation of the names in English correct, so she could assign the correct Arabic sounds to create the Arabic form of the name.
So I'm guessing any Arabic speaking person could write down the Arabic which sounds the same as the English pronunciation of a name. Can any Arab speakers confirm that's the case?
No little'un yet bopeep.
Here's some info about Arabic writing for you; http://yellowbulletin.com/weblite/MARHABA/img/pdf/1908.pdf
Many of the gold stores, downtown at the gold souq will carve whatever you like on pendants, bracelets or even brooches, they would provide a catalogue or ready made samples, or you can have your own sample to show them.
The names will mostly be transliterated to Arabic, which is quite cool. A lot of my friends had them done for themselves and loved ones as souvenirs. You can also choose a short beautiful Arabic saying, of your liking, and have it made in white or yellow gold. They use all sorts of precious stones, diamond…etc, you just need to make up your mind.
If you like, send me the names on PM and let's discuss how you want to go about it, if not, it's advisable to have them transliterated already by an Arabic speaker you trust, before you go to the shop, to avoid grave or funny mistakes carved for keeps...:))

Thanks Tallg! She will be sad! Has ur new addition arrived yet?

I don't think CAZ will translate because there wont be an equivalent word in Arabic. Just like GARETH wont have an Arabic equivalent. You may be able to 'transliterate' it I guess.
Thank you SO MUCH Ms.Chief! I really didnt know where to start looking.
