Al Maha School. Is it really that bad?
Salaam,
Just another foreign teacher on their way to Doha and surfing the net to get info.
Have seen some pretty critical comments on the school I'm meant to be going to. Is it really that bad? Are there any teachers past or present who can give me a realistic current perspective. Looking for more information on accommodation they supply, what the pupils are like, flexibility with curriculum design, and can an innovative, skilled educationalist survive there or will their rigor be drained?
(Am I putting this in the wrong place? Should it be in questions?)
A school that accepts iis flaws and aims to do better is honest.Ive heard that the school is improving and going from strength to strength. The school is itself over populated so they are moving buildings in October.
Im off too in August so good job we are not walking into the lions mouth alone. What year are you teaching?
all I can say teachers come and teachers leave soon again. I guess that speaks for itself wa allahu alim.
that school don't have a good reputation for sure.
We took our daughter out of the school after only 3 weeks only, she didn't like it at all.
to much work not enough staff! and I guess little pay for the kind of work they want from you .
Thanks again!
??????????
Yeh they supplied lovely photos of accommodation, dream complex show room photos. But was looking for first hand experience. Not that it bothers me. And was told by popcorn girl that it is theeeee worst school in Doha?????
Not that that bothers me either, nothing can harm you once you have worked the worst of schools in the east end of London!!! And I actually grew to like them!
If the school is so bad is there an authentic opinion that can give factual info as to why? Not a jaded parent or ex-wronged employee???
If it is independent school I am sure you can influence the curriculum..
surprising they don't tell you details on acommodation..
