about cargo
hi all of u we are relocating from kuwait to qatar we plan to bring our house hold items through cargo which include electrical items like sony 25 inches tv,home theater,2 grinders etc for which they would charge custom charges in qatar so i like to know how much would they charge custom charges approximately for the above items so that we can paln accordingly waiting for replies

a 5% charges is applied by the Customs Port and General Authority for all incoming goods based on the declared invoice price...
likewise you'll have to get a Clearing Agent who'll do the clearing processes in behalf of you, either it may be by land, road or sea. It is highly recommended that you'll have to get a Clearing Agent for your convenience. Agent's charges ranges from QAR150-QAR200 only.
