24 days salary ?????

several times, I have posted problems / dirty policies of an Indian school. ( name withheld )
this year, all expat school are having vacation for Aug & Sept, due to Ramadan.
Our school is closing on July 24th . And school has declared they will give only 24 days salary, not for the full month.
IS IT LEGAL ? CAN WE CONTEST THIS IN LABOUR COURT ?
school claims they can give only two montsh ( aug & sep )
salary. But not for the extra 7 days.
But we ask, who told the Management to close the school on 24th ? Let us work till 31st. We are ready.
Can the school Management take a unilateral decision ?
if yes, read it carefully, there must be some technical clause about school holiday and salary.
If not, than you can ask a written clarification from the school and later you along with other staff members who have same issue can log a complain with Ministry of Education.
If you have more staff to support you, your case will be strong. Best way to try to solve the problem with the school higher managements in a peaceful manner.
