17 days with new landline, and still not working!

I had my landline phone installed 17 days ago. The only problem – it's not working yet. Every time I call 115, Qtel say something like "we are working on it", or "I will send a reminder".

I have also tested the connection using a different set, to make sure the fault is not in my own telephone set.

Obviously, calling 115 is not a solution. Is there any other way I could find a solution to this stalemate (apart from cancelling the subscription)? Does Qtel have a number for complaints?

Would be grateful for your advice on this.

from 17th April 2008 ? if this is true then am ready to cancel my subscriptions with QTEL !!

Also i told to Head of Qtel Customer Services, that I am going to write a letter to the Editor of Gulf Times and other leading News papers in Doha !!!! they appologized to me for the delay and promised to investigate my matter.... i told them how many matters are you going to investigate since I am not the one only suffering ???? and he was like

I think everyone should write a complian letter to leading News papers and let Qtel knows that the time is changed !!!!

I received a reference number via sms and I give it to them when I call 115, because they never ask for it themselves.

I lived in Saudi before, and didn't have this type of delay when the phone line needed fixing. I had expected Qtel to offer better service than Saudi Telecom, but so far it hasn't turned out that way.

on 18.02.2008 i applied for new tele line/ADSL for my home, till date i am following with Qtel on  115 and they keep telling me that there is a TECHNICAL FAULT in the cable and once sorted out they will give me appointment, anyhow, last week i received sms from Qtel saying that my appointment is on 30.03.2008 which is today !!!

I called Qtel to check what time the engineer will come to fix the phone/ADSL line, to my surprise they told me that now they have problem in PABX system and they will give me new appointment once this problem is rectified ! I really got pissssssssed offfff on him and told him that i am fedup with QTEL SERVICE and FASLE PROMISES .... now am on the phone with their Head who kept me on hold for more then 5mins now investigating my case !!!!!!!

WHAT THE HELL !!!!! am really fedup now ,,,,

i would say going to Qtel in al saad is a total waste of time unless its the last resort...all they will do is make u take a number...then u'll waste more then an hour sitting there..and in the end they will do the same thing u can do over the phone...just call and get a ref. number when they take down ur complaint...use that for future reference. worked with me many times.

I too would prefer going over to file a complaint, however, ive once filed a complaint over the phone, and somehow talked to one of their superiors.

He was hard to get to, but at the end luckily i did. and later, one of the employees from the service center called back to double check if things were back on track or not

make sure its a smooth convo though cuz they do record the calls

Why not go directly to the QTel in Al Saad and file the complaint, make sure you do not go out the office untill they make sure, you get connected and tell them you would be started to be charge without connection yet, take the name of the persons you talked to to ensure you have talked to someone not just pointing out to the number you are calling.

Please let us know what would happen next...
