Any Canadians recently get their Qatar Driver’s License?

For fellow Canadian expats. Have you recently gotten your Qatar Driver's license? Is the process for Canadians still the same? Or is a theory and road test now required?
If I can still exchange my Canadian license for a Qatar license, do in need to complete the form on the website?
Or just the following documents/items?
The documents required to be produced are
- Passport or ID Card
- Original driving license
- Sponsor’s ID
- The sponsor need to sign a form and may have to provide a letter
- Three photos
@hkalltheway - thanks for confirming!
Yup that's what I thought, but the rules have changed. None of these sites are official government, so you can not rely on that info. Good luck :)
hkalltheway - sounds like the process for Canadians getting driver’s licenses have changed? I’m getting the info as below. When I researched this prior to coming to Qatar, all the info available said that I would just be issued a Qatari license with a valid Canadian one, no tests required. Just like UK and EU licenses.

Hey Buddy, I just went through this process last month. There is no immediate swap of a Canadian licence. You need to go for a knowledge and direct road test. You need your valid Canadian licence, passport, QID, and photos. Also need a vision test result which can be taken at the driving school. Getting dates for both tests are harder than the test itself. Good luck!
