What are the lessons in life that you've learned while working abroad?

People always say that life is unfair. There are so many very lucky people that they don't need to go out of their country and leave their family to look for a greener and brighter future. However, OFW's are blessed also with so many struggles,temptations, and sacrifices while away from their families,which I'm sure made them(us) better and stronger human beings. Life deals with us individually, I'm pretty sure you've experienced things here in Doha that made you a better person that you are now. Share your experiences , we want to learn from yours too!
