over-rated, hyped and puffed resumes

I have noticed that most people in arab countries have over-rated, hyped and puffed up their resumes just to get high positions which they are not really CAPABLE of. They are just full of mouth-talking, self-proclaiming people...

I dont want to be racial, but most of Arabic and Indians are like that (but not all). Trying to hype in their resumes that they are like this and that, they have done/achieve this this and that, but when it comes to hands-on work, they have little knowledge about their work, and sometimes dont even know how to solve work problems.

It's like saying, they are admin assistant/secretary, but dont know even how to prepare a business letter...

It's like saying, they are electronic engineers, but arranging a sound problem with amplifier and CD player, they dont know how to identify which has problem and how to solve it...

It's like saying, they are an accountant, but all they know is just to prepare a manual cheque, which any person can do. Not even have knowledge of what accounting is and the principles behind it...

its really annoying to see and work with these kind of people ... but yani what to do... this is the TREND in arab countries... and by the way... there is really discrimination in arab countries when it comes to top positions...

in our country, when you wrote something in your resume and the company learn that it was false, that is already a ground for termination, but here.... ohmy.. forget it.

but what to do, i have been getting numb from this kind of trend and gradually trying to face it but not accept it. See it, hear it... forget it.
we're here to work, to earn for living and to save.. as long as they give me enough salary and on time, i'll just do my job, that's it... khalas..
sadly, cant build career here...

do you have/know someone like that in your work?
please share your experiences...
