Manila Observations... part 2
Here are some more...
- Most of the salesladies are pretty and really friendly.
- But most department stores seems to be overstaffed. There's a salesperson in every rack, hall, & corner. Funny though the cashier counter is manned by at least four people. One to accept payment, one to give the change, one to bag the items, & one to check the receipt.
- You will be mesmerized & dizzied by almost an acre of shoes selections at SM dept store.
- They actually will give you your .50 centavo change & not give you candies!
- You'll certainly find something to eat everywhere within 100 meter radius.
- Travel time is minimum 1 hour from any point to any point.
- Everyone seems to own a Nokia N series cellphone.
- Lotsa people tote laptops in coffeehouses. Sa tingin ko pa japorms lang.
- 5% of the people at malls are there to eat. Another 5% are actually buying something. The 90% are just plain foot traffic! Yes you can see how most of the stores are empty, while people crowd at walkways & escalators.
- Everything is cheap. Only if you convert it in QAR. A hearty buffet at "Cabalen" is like QAR.20! Less than what you pay for a meal at the Certo Royale.
- 3G mobile internet service is good & affordable. That's why I can manage to post this thread habang umiinom ng SML!
- Balot is still yummy as ever & I just had my 7th. Now sells at P.13 each.
- Masarap pa rin ang inihaw na isaw sa kanto yumm yummm hehehe!
- Recruitment agencies are so full of people desperately lining up for jobs abroad & locally...
